F.A.Q.

Luminous flux, measured in lumens (lm), measures the total amount of light emitted from a lamp, and is the best measure to determine the brightness of a lamp. Generally, a 32W T8 fluorescent lamp emits about 2500lm, and a 54W T5 fluorescent lamp emits about 4500lm.

In practices that most LED tube lamps claim to replace standard fluorescent tubes but only a few compete in terms of total light output, especially Type A and Type B LED tubes, including hybrid Type AB tube, consistently demonstrated significantly reduced light outputs to 1800lm less in average.

ConNexTube® offers tubes with light output up to 4100lm for 4Ft HO series and 2500lm for 4Ft HE series.

Color temperature describes a white light source’s appearance. It is measured using degrees Kelvin, and typically ranges between 2400K and 6500K for most indoor lighting applications. The lower the Kelvin, the “warmer” its appearance, while the higher the Kelvin, the “cooler” its appearance

Most fluorescent tube lights have a correlated color temperature (CCT) of 4000K or 5000K, as they have been considered to be most suitable for commercial and industrial environments. Similarly, LED tube lights are also available in a wide range of color temperatures.

ConNexTube® offers tube lights with CCT in 4000K and 5000K to meet most applications.

Color Rendering Index (CRI) measures the extent to which objects’ color appear true and accurate under a light source. Most fluorescent lamps have a CRI rating of 80 or so, and the majority of LED tube lights also come in at around 80 CRI as well. 80 CRI is acceptable for most applications, but for enhanced color quality and environments where color perception is important, look for a light sources have a color rendering index CRI of at least 90.

All tube lamps offered by ConNexTube® are qualified with CRI value greater than 90.

Yes. All ConNexTube® LED tubes support 0–10V dimming and are fully compatible with most industry-standard dimming sensors, motion detectors, and wireless lighting controls.
When paired with Lumixess® LED Ballasts and the ConnSet® system, they enable easy integration into connected lighting networks — ideal for energy-saving applications such as stairwells, parking garages, and smart buildings.

The main difference is the size. The number after “T” is the diameter in eighths of an inch (5/8 inch, 1 inch, and 1-1/2 inches respectively). Other differences include lamp efficiency and lamp life. T8 lamps are a longer-lasting, more energy-efficient replacement lamp for T12 lamps of the same wattage. Both are frequently used in general lighting applications such as offices and warehouses. T5 lamps, however, often require specialty T5 fixtures. While sometimes used in general lighting, T5s are more often used for highbay lighting, grow lights, and other specialty applications.

T8 and T12 fixtures are generally the same length and use the same bi-pin base (G13), therefore they could be used interchangeably within the same light fixture. T5 fixtures are NOT cross-compatible with T8 and T12 lamps due to their different pin sizes (G5) and actual length.

ConNexTube™ lamps are included standard output and high output two series. “HE” (High Efficiency) series lamps operate at lower wattages and produce a standard light output in 2600lm; “HO”(High Output) series lamps deliver more light (4300lm) than HE lamps and used a higher wattage.
